In loving memory of Nancy Doreen Brock who sadly passed away on 5th May 2017.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother and nan. She shared her life with her husband, Peter John Brock, and two daughters, Christine Anne Burnett and Cheryl Denise Dixon. Peter was a Engineering Draftsman, which took his family from living in the the Uk to start a new life in Rhodesia. Nancy brought her two children up alongside Peter and stayed in Harare for 40yrs even after the sad loss of her husband. She then returned back to the Uk in 1994 to be closer to her daughters that had moved back to the Uk.

She spent the next 13 years living with her daughter, Christine, in Mansfield-Woodhouse, who has been there for her through all the good and bad times. In January 2012 Nancy was diagnosed with terminal cancer which she has been fighting for many years now. She has shown courage, strength and determination throughout her entire struggle with the disease until it became too much for her. Throughout her entire illness Christine has been her carer supporting her right up to her final moments when she finally passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with Christine beside her at 6:15am on Friday 5th May 2017. R.I.P.

Sarah Hill donated £15 in memory of Nancy

My mother in law was a strong willed and stubborn woman she loved her children and loved to treat them at birthdays and Christmas. In the early years of first knowing her we had clashes of wills and years later after asking her to come back to England from Africa she said OK. My wife CheryI sorted every thing out for her return. When she was well she did all the cooking and baking, she started to slow down after having both hips replaced. Finding out she had cancer was hard for both daughters she had mood swings because of her pain but she love to joke and was quite cheeky and how I remember her the most. Her passing away was a blessing from all the pain, GOD BLESS NANCY
