In loving memory of Kim Richardson (Dorothy Kim Meyrick) who sadly passed away on 28th March 2017, aged 59 years.

Taken far too early - unexpectedly and far too young. A loving mother, talented artist - nanny, daughter and sister.

My mum gave so much to the community by way of sharing her passion for all arts and crafts by teaching in adult education and private classes from her own business Kim Richardson studios.

There was nothing she could not do when she took on new hobbies, painting, drawing, card making, beading, knitting, baking, faberge egg making, with watercolour painting being her main passion.

Struggling all her life with severe dyslexia and dyspraxia however never letting this overcome her, shining in all manual and visual learning and then helping others.

A light has gone out but the memories will never leave. And so many people have skills and self belief thanks to this amazing woman.

RIP mum, till we meet again xxx

hi, I knew Kim as a fellow artist and I introduced her to adult sessions at Fpxford school where I taught.I am so sad to be finding about her loss. She was a true inspiration in so many ways, and her humour, she made so many people believe in who they really were, love you Kim steve

To my oldest sister Kim. May you rest in peace. You have been taken away far to soon we didn't get to spend our retirement years together. We didn't always see eye to eye but we always laughted and sometimes cried together but that's because we are sisters and that's what sisters do. Sleep tight Kim til we meet again. Love you Sis ❤️❤️❤️

My auntie kim. What a wonderful woman u were!! We only got close recently and im soo glad we did.. because i found out what a funny woman u really were. You used to have me in stitches with all your stories. I used to leave u house in a great mood. Thinking i hope im like you when im your age. You just didnt give a hoot and lived life to the full and thats what i loved about you!! U thought me alot and i have lots of memories i will keep in my heart forever! You were absolutely brilliant with Alfie. I cant thank you enough for looking after him. You used to love spending time with him. You said he always cheered you up. Sometimes id drop Alfie off and just spend the day at yours drinking tea and you drinking coffee half hot half cold lol !!! Toby would always come in and say im hungry and u just used to laugh!! You were soo looking forward to teaching my boys how to paint and do crafts and bake. What a great shame it didn't happen. I am absolutely devastated to have lost you. But now i know now it was your time. Heaven gained an angel and i know you are watching down on me and my boys. Auntie kim we had fun and laughs. I love you rest in peace beautiful xxxxxxxxx

I met Kim many years ago as my tutor but fast became friends aswell. She has taught me so many different skills over the years including watercolour, beading, glass painting, card making, fabregè eggs, balloon threading ( of which I remember was a particular dislike to Kim, she said it was too fiddly and tedious) but she still taught us all and said I will only do this the once. She always had time for people and made everyone feel comfortable in her lessons. I have many fond memories of this very talented lady both at her home as a friend and in a centre as a class and she my tutor. Kim you were given your wings and taken from us too soon, but you will live on in so many people's hearts as you have touched soo many people in so many ways and some of your talents live on by those that you have taught. Gone but never forgotten Kim R.I.P
