In loving memory of Leonard Antony Smith who sadly passed away on 27th March 2017
SMITH, Leonard Antony (Tony). Died peacefully March 27th aged 89 after losing a short battle with cancer. He was a pupil at the Becket School in the 1930’s & 40’s, later spending his working life in the lace trade in Long Eaton and Nottingham. Tony married and lived in Attenborough in the 1950’s, moving back to his childhood home on Derby Road in Lenton in the early 1960’s where he lived with his wife, Beryl, and family until she passed away in 2002. Living his final years in Ilkeston Tony will be deeply missed by his family and friends, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and a true gentleman in his behaviour towards everyone he met. Tony’s funeral will take place at Bramcote crematorium. 12.00 Friday 5th. May. Family flowers only please, donations to Cancer Relief welcomed.
