In loving memory of
GUY Petherick,
who sadly passed away, peacefully at home in Bonthorpe, Lincolnshire, on 28th March 2017, after a long illness, aged 65.
Lived for many years at Ringmer, East Sussex.
He will be much missed, and remembered with great affection by his wife Ros, and all his family and friends.

Sorry to hear about Guys passing. We were close friends when we were young, and through our teenage years and early 20s. The band I was in at the time played at his 21st birthday party.
I saw him after a long gap in 2012 I think.
Sad to think now that was the last time.

I knew Guy for the past 35 years and was my neighbour for 17. You could always rely on Guy to tell a joke even though you had heard it at least 20 times before. He loved to walk round the village and button hole any one who would stop and listen to him, even though they had heard it all before. Guy will be sadly missed, I hope that Ross will be able to carry on with her life and enjoy her new home.

All our love and thoughts to Ros and Guy's family and friends. We are so glad that Guy was able to attend our wedding last year... such a treasured memory. So sorry we can't be there but we are in spirit. Much love, The Wileys xx

I remember Guy as though it was yesterday even though I hadn't seen him for a long time. I remember his smiling face and cheeky sense of humor as well as his long hair and ability to smoke a pipe. As he was older than me, as a boy I remember having to put my hands over my ears as he told jokes to everyone else - great memories.

Chris & Abi Smith donated £20 in memory of Guy

I remember the first time I met you Guy, you were so cheerful and wanted to make me feel at ease. You were always trying to make me smile and when Chris and I got married and had children, you did the same to them too - trying to tell a little joke or two! We will remember that smiley face! Rest in peace xx

  • We only just found out about Guy's passing when we saw the new bench installed on the village green. What a nice gesture. We are sure he would have approved and he will be remembered fondly. Many condolences. Will & Sheena.
