Husband of Maureen proud dad of Mark and Laura wonderful grandad to Ben and Erin. Passed away very peacefully at Ashby Court Nursing Home on 5th September 2014 aged 74 years. His funeral service will be held on Thursday 18th September 10.30am in the Carnarvon Chapel, Bretby Crematorium. No black to be worn at John's request. Family flowers only please donations if desired for Ashby Canal Association will be received at the service of may be forwarded to Maureen or Mark. All enquiries to W. B. John was an inspiration to many. His patience and understanding along with his passion for the water has enabled many young people to learn some of his skills. His wicked sense of humour, will be sadly missed. Thank you for all you did in getting Lorna through her Duke of Edinburgh awards. You gave her so much confidence and she has made many friends along the way. It has been a privilege to have known you . Sending our condolences to all your family. Alison and Derek Twomlow
