A quality I associate with Hilda is no-nonsense practicality. At a Hainault Rd young people's weekend at Winchelsea Beach, Hilda was there to help generally and particularly in the kitchen. Her bedroom was over the boys' dorm - and the boys weren't sleepy! I heard her come down the outside steps and ask them to be quiet, twice I think. The results were short-lived so she came down a third time - this time with night-long success. I asked her in the morning how she had achieved it. Apparently, there was a spare bed in the boys' dorm - so she climbed into it and went to sleep!

Mrs Hilda Margaret Dawson went to be with her Saviour on 6th March 2017, aged 91 years.
We give thanks to God for her life, but she will be missed by all her family and friends.
Please remember her husband, Douglas at this time.
There will be a Thanksgiving service for her life at 2:45 on March 24th followed by refereshments. This will be at Stapleford Baptist Church, Albert Street, Stapleford, Notts. You can get further details of the venue at www.staplefordbaptist.org. There is no easy parking available, though there are public car parks on Cliff Hill Avenue and Victoria Street.
