In loving memory of Colin Richard Ryan who sadly passed away on 18th February 2017.
Let's start by saying Colin was absolutely brilliant! He was kind, thoughtful and great fun to be around. He was ridiculously excitable, loud and had a massive grin. All in all, he was a big lovable guy and he'll be missed by everyone who knew him.
Colin had a huge heart. He worried more about others than he did himself, and whilst he might not have had much, he would still spare change for the homeless and move heaven and Earth to help you if he could. Colin would talk to anyone and he never judged. He cared so much about his family and above all else, above absolutely everything, he loved his daughter. Colin loved Courtney from the very bottom of his heart and with every fibre of his being.
Colin was definitely a bit of a Trekkie; he loved sci-fi and would get very excited about new technology! He was also a film and TV buff and always had a recommendation on hand if you were stuck for something to watch. Naturally, space films were his favourites, but his tastes were eclectic (much like with his music) and he'd put himself through horror films even though he hated them and they scared him! He said he just couldn't look away!
You could talk to Colin for hours about anything and everything, he had a great sense of humour, made you feel comfortable and was very intelligent (far more than he realised). Colin's intellect, tenacity and fighting spirit made him a huge success during his RAF training. His passing out parade was an incredibly proud moment for all the family and was a mere glimpse into Colin's amazing talent & potential.
Colin might have had his demons but he was fighting them and he was damned brave. Colin's passing has come as a shock to us all and he will be sorely missed. You'll never be forgotten Colin, you're always in our hearts.
