Dearest Alex, Amy, Ruth and David,
What I wrote before was a brief obituary, this is condolence.
Mom/Nanna used to do many helpful things in your home but, gradually over the years, she had to stop helping you in various different areas. It must have been a source of frustration for her when she had to relinquish these kind deeds and you had to find the time in your busy schedules to do them. When she realized that she could no longer help in any way and felt that she was becoming a burden, the Lord graciously took her to Himself. How much she is missed by you all.
May the Lord continue to comfort you in your sorrow and loss.
I am praying much for you all and send much love.
Mum/Granny
Susan Madeley (13 Apr 1940 - 19 Feb 2017)
In loving memory of Susan Madeley who sadly passed away on 19th February 2017. Susan was a loving grandmother, mother, and mother-in-law. She gave of herself to everyone around her.
Susan worked as a financial controller for investment banks in South Africa before she retired. She was a widow for 44 years singled-handedly bringing up her son, Alex. Her cancer was successfully treated but then had disabling complications from the treatment. She came to England to join Alex and his family where she was always a supportive grandmother giving of herself to care for Ruth and David. She was an active supporter of Bethel Baptist Church in Wimbledon.
We will miss her but she is with our Lord and has no more pain or suffering. We will see her again.
Donations, if wished, may be made in lieu of flowers to:
Pastor Jack Moorman and his wife Dot for their kindness and support.
