Dearest Alex, Amy, Ruth and David,
What I wrote before was a brief obituary, this is condolence.

Mom/Nanna used to do many helpful things in your home but, gradually over the years, she had to stop helping you in various different areas. It must have been a source of frustration for her when she had to relinquish these kind deeds and you had to find the time in your busy schedules to do them. When she realized that she could no longer help in any way and felt that she was becoming a burden, the Lord graciously took her to Himself. How much she is missed by you all.

May the Lord continue to comfort you in your sorrow and loss.

I am praying much for you all and send much love.

Uncle Howard and Auntie Evelyn were sorry to hear of the passing into Glory of your Mother, Alex. Mark 14:16.
Consider Jesus'plea in the Garden of Gethsemane. In His humanity the Lord Jesus drew back from the awful prospect of pain and suffering, just as we do from things like cancer and like Him we ask that this cup be taken from us. Yet we must ask what would glorify God the most for your loved one to remain sick awhile or will it glorify HIS Name still more to take her to Himself in Heaven.
My prayer is a simple one. Father, whatever is best do whatever brings the most glory to You. Thank You Father Your will has been done.

Amy and Alex, I am SO sorry to hear of your loss! I truly am! Aunty Sue was a wonderful person and such a blessing in my life as a teenager! May God comfort you during this very sad time!

We are thankful to the Lord our God for Susan's life and the Christian love & friendship we shared. She was always so kind to us. How wonderful for Susan that "she's beaten us to it". . . entering that glorious Heavenly Home, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. We look forward to joining her at God's appointed time. It was so wonderful seeing you all on the 18th in SA, only to hear the sad news of Sue's passing the next day. But keep the Faith that the Lord has his reasons for everything, and that she is with Him, as we all will be in His time. We never had the chance to spend much time with her but she & you all have always been in our thoughts and prayers, and always will be.

We are so saddened with the news of Susan passing. She was a wonderful and brave lady and I will miss her. She always looked for the good in everything and I was privileged to know such a caring lady.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers today. May you be surrounded by love as you attend Susan's funeral. We are not able to attend but send all our love. Your mom and Granny used to always take our hands and say 'How are you dear?' I personally loved that, it was like having one of my aunts from home around. We hope to see you all soon. Dear Alex, Amy, Ruth and David,

We want to encourage you to lay every bit sorrow you maybe going through in the hands of the Lord. Susan is at peace, at rest and in the presence of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. She has no more pain, no surgeries, no hospital appointment and no more wheel-chair bound. Please hold yourselves together and trust in the Lord for giveth life and also taketh away.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

Susan was thoughtful and kind in prayer and deed to both my sister Lorna and myself. We will miss her, but we are thankful to the LORD she is in a better place, and that we will all see her again one day; all praises and thanks to the LORD for His wonderful promises.
You are all in our prayers, as always.

Please know you continue to be in our prayers as you sorrow for the loss of Nanna. We know she is absent from her painful body and present with the Lord, her God, and we rejoice knowing that for it is far better. But we know that it is so hard for you to say goodbye and be without your precious mum and Nanna.

I know you will be peeping down on us from your mansion in Heaven. I am pleased that all sufferings are gone. You will be sorely missed as the person everyone spoke to at the end of service on Sundays but I look forward to the day that we will meet again.

Dear Amy, Alex, David & Ruth. We are sorry to hear about Aunty Sue's passing. We will remember her with great fondness for her kindness, keen mind, and always having time for others. Alex, she did a great job with you, for which she always had my admiration. May our Lord comfort you at this time.

What a wonderful day it was for Sue when she accepted the Lord as her Saviour. He made a great difference in her life and helped her bear the sufferings that she endured. When she was still able to travel by bus, she would share the gospel with other ladies who happened to sit next to her. She has gone to her reward. She is sadly missed but she is in a far better place than this old world, and one day all who love the Saviour she loved, will see her again. All thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ who made it possible. It will not be the same, when, Lord willing, I travel again to the U.K. and Nanna is not there.
