With Megan. Both Grandad and Mamma were great with my kids, and in return they thought so much of them both.

"Charlie" is my Grandad, and I was super proud of him my whole life. From being a child, and telling everyone at school how he "grew vegetables for the whole world" to this day, telling people about his war stories and the various things that he got up to (especially the daft things that he did even in later life, he was such a character). He thought that no one was interested in his stories, but I could have sat and listened to them for hours and hours and wished that he'd told me more. He had the cheekiest giggle as he told them (how he survived the war I'll never understand with the things that he did!). I loved spending time with him and have some great memories from my childhood - holidays, parties, the Polish club, helping at his allotment... I'll make sure that my kids never forget him, and will keep his memory alive for as long as I live. Always thought he'd live forever, still can't believe that you're gone, Grandad. Love you always. Hope you enjoy dancing in the sky with Mamma ❤️

When I first met "Charlie" he terrified me. So large and imposing. His voice deep and gruff. However after knowing him a short time, I came to see the real man. A kind, considerate man, who cared for and loved all his family. He will be greatly missed and my sadness and sympathy go to his children. You are in my prayers.
