In loving memory of George Edward Myers who sadly passed away on 12th February 2017, aged 80 years old. He leaves behind his loving wife Maureen of 57yrs and his 3 children Toni, Wendy and Paul as well as all his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren all whom will miss him very much. George was a builder by trade and was always on the go. He loved doing lots of things one being his passion for golf which he played with his brother Ron and his friends. He loved to do puzzles which we would all help out and have fun. George also loved to play cards crib was his favorite and chess. he loved birds and he even had his own aviary. George was never a person to sit down and relax he was always attending to his garden or making something up in the shed as he loved working with his hands. Leeds were his football team he loved to watch them on the tv. He loved his wildlife programmes and he was a big listener of country, and Irish music. He was always there to lend a hand no job was to much. Dad loved to visit his sister Dot with his Brother Ron in the nursing home and have long chat with her about past and present. He loved his new car and enjoyed driving it very much. Everywhere he went he would have his walking stick and his cap on, and he would never need any excuse not to stop off at a café or get a KFC or sausage and chips. Dad would always sing along o his Irish songs and drive you mad, but he loved them. He had a very sweet tooth, and you would find him with the cat cuddled up on his lap in the afternoons both having 40 winks. He was still very young at heart and if he could he would have still been climbing up ladders and fixing roofs along with other things. Dad loved last of the summer wine he would watch them all the time. He was so loved by everyone that knew him and he will be so missed but never forgotten. You are forever in our heart, thoughts and prayers. We love you so deeply and miss you like crazy. you leave a big hole in our hearts that will only be filled with our loving memories off you. God bless sleep peacefully until we meet again xx

Hi Dad. Cant believe that it has been 1 year already. We all miss you and mum so much but that doesn't stop us from talking to you each day as i do . Toby was busy building something with wood hammer and nails the other day and he said I bet granddad George would like this. Its very cold and raining a lot but not to much snow but if you were still here you would be indoors in the warm or out in the shed doing something and both you and mum would be having strew and dumping's while watching all your favourite tv shows and the cat on your lap. I know that you are always close by watching over us all and making sure that we are all safe and cared for. take care dad we miss and love you very much

Hi Dad. Its been 7 months now but it seems like only yesterday that I saw you coming out off your shed say hello to me before going back in to finish off whatever you were up to and then you would come in and ask if I wanted a cup of tea and I would bring you up those pink and white wafers you loved so much. Phil still thinks that you should have tools planted on your grave instead of flowers. A hammer and some nails bits off wood so you could pass the time making something good, and a cup of tea lol. I know that you would see the funny side to this as you were always up for a good joke and laugh. love you dad

Hi dad. Just want to let you know that I thanked Ronnie for the roses that he put on your grave. I asked him how he was doing and how Dot was keeping. They are both well and he went to see Dot last week. I have told Ronnie that both Jess and myself will go and put some flowers on nan and granddads and Maurice grave as you would like that. We had a good chat about you and him and old times.

Hi dad Jess and I came to visit you today and gave you a good tidy up as you like a tidy flower bed. We really hope that you love your new caravan. Your flowers are looking good. We are off to Thorpe park on Sunday and the kids always have kfc for lunch and they always say this ones for you granddad. I hope that where you are they have KFC or Chinese and battered sausage and chips as these were foods that you loved. Remember the passion plant that you gave me well its taking over my garden shed and growing up over the hedge next door it looks great. Well thought you might like to know that Jay has more or less moved in due to the fact that he is going out with the girl in my close. She is a nice girl. Got Toby and Kyle staying too. they are no trouble just eat you out of everything lol. love you and will be back to see you next week.
