Joan Farmery (21 Dec 1920 - 2 Sep 2014)

In loving memory of the late Joan Farmery who sadly passed away in her sleep on Tuesday 2nd September 2014 aged 93, devoted wife of the late Gordon Farmery and much loved mother to Anne & Michael.

Joan had a wonderful, long and healthy life and witnessed tremendous change during her 93 years. For example, when she was born women were only just getting the vote and television had not been invented. She lived 91 years in Peterborough, living in the family home for 65 years before moving to Derby to be closer to her daughter Anne. Sadly, Joan's husband Gordon had passed away 18 years ago. However, they had a terrific life together and were married for over 40 years - remarkable achievement in today's world!
