Maxine Thornley (25 Oct 1930 - 25 Aug 2014)

In loving memory of the late Maxine Thornley who sadly passed away on the 25th of August 2014.

Max was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Those who knew her will remember her fantastic laugh, her fierce intelligence, her love of words (and her subsequent intolerance of the misuse of the English Language), her 5pm cocktail, her passion for music, and her green thumb.

Widowed three years ago, her marriage to Mick was a long, happy and loving- theirs was a true meeting of minds. She is survived by her three children with Mick; Ceri, Kim, and David, and her grandchildren Nick, Eleanor, Fiona, and great grandchildren Anja, and Joni.

She will be laid to rest on Thursday 11th of September. In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made in her name to Hoots Owls http://www.hootsowls.co.uk
