In loving memory of Jean Cooke who sadly passed away on 16th January 2017. Jean was a loving wife, mum, nan and great nan, aka 'nother nanny, to her four great grandsons.

From Claire - I have lost another amazing, special person that influenced and stamped on my life in truly wonderful ways. My Nan was not just my Nan, she was my mum, my confidante, my friend, my inspiration, the strongest woman I know! Be at peace now Nan and I will love you just as much from afar - forever my direction, forever my inspirations to be just as strong, ambitious, fair, focused and loving as you have been to me.

From Les and Brian - We can't believe you are gone Mum, but you are at peace now and with dad and Mellie. You gave me the best ever childhood - full of laughter, song and smiles. Such happy memories. I always wanted to be a typewriter lady like my mum, and I was and proud of it. You were my inspiration and guidance. Forever in our hearts always.

Jean was a great homemaker, cycled to work when she could and walked the dogs twice a day, mostly over Nonsuch Park, Cheam. She was exceedingly intelligent, not academically but in life experiences. Up to her 70s she attended aerobics and aquarobics classes, quite a feat for the latter as she couldn't swim.

Mum's funeral will be held at Mansfield Crematorium, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire on Friday, 3rd February 2016 at 16:00 hrs. Flowers are welcomed and can be sent to A W Lymn, 16 Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, Nottingham NG19 7AD. Donations can be made to YPWD (Berkshire), a charity close to my mum's heart, via A W Lymn.

Our dear Aunt Jeanie was such a wonderful person with a great strength of character, who in so many ways has supported us through the years and was especially supportive when Joycey died. She has brought love and laughter to our family. We’ve been lucky enough to spend many many happy times together; very happy holidays; Bracklesham Bay, Sandbanks and East Wittering’s many Christmases together; playing cards (chase the ace) was a favourite, but most of the time she was making sure everyone’s needs were met. Jeanie was always smiling and had a fantastic ability to know the right words to say at the right time and was an amazing letter writer, something we always looked forward to receiving.
We will miss you greatly but will never forget you. You will always remain in our hearts; we loved you and always will.
