Alan Charles East (3 Jul 1927 - 2 Jan 2017)

In loving memory of Alan Charles East who sadly passed away on 1st January 2017...What to say, Dad always looked after his family and was a hard worker, never enjoyed retirement. He was always the life and joy of the party and was full of corny jokes. He enjoyed coming and watching me race overseas and rubbed shoulders with some of the best runners in the world, not sure he knew who they were. One night I remember well was in Bermuda where I had raced, I went to bed early and he went out drinking with a guy that would go on to win the World Cross-country Championship.

He really missed Mum who passed on the 2nd of Feb 2010 and found it hard to deal with and began to give up, they'd me married over 50 years and did everything together, just enjoyed life...RIP Dad and wherever you are now I hope they have football, the game you loved and enjoyed so much x
