On 4th January 2017, suddenly, but, peacefully at her home in Thornhill Lees, aged 79 years, Pat, loved wife of the late Gordon, loving and much loved mum of Lee, Shaun, the late Sonia and baby Kevin, dear mother in law of Karen, and dearly loved grandma of Chloe.
Funeral service will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Wednesday 18th January 2017 at 11.15 am.

Born Patricia Wilson on the 28th October 1937 daughter of Leslie and Dorothy Wilson and younger sister to Elsie at Primrose Hill, in Batley
She married her husband Gordon in June 1957, and during their 50 years , remained inseparable throughout, and always did things together as a couple and never individually
She gave birth to her first child Sonia a year later and then a second, Kevin who sadly lost his life after only a few month to pneumonia. Then it was Lee and finally her youngest Shaun. After yet another tragedy she lost her daughter Sonia to cancer who died aged just 21. Every year without fail since Sonias death, mum lit sparklers on bonfire night which was Sonias birthday
She worked all her life in textiles at mills in Batley and 25 years at a blanket mill at Mirfield until her retirement
In later life we nearly lost her on 2 occasions, once when she was admitted to hospital with severe pneumonia and later after suffering 2 consecutive strokes. On both occasions we were warned by the doctors to prepare for the worst but after defying all odds she survived. However after the stroke left her with disabilities she was forced to leave her home in mirfield and move to an adapted bungalow at Thornhill. Dad helped her with her care initially but after things started getting difficult for him, Mum had to get help from carers on a daily basis
It was there where her husband Gordon lost his fight with lung cancer and died just before Christmas 2008
At this time we saw what a strong woman she was, we were concerned that after 50 years of being inseparable with Dad she wouldn’t manage on her own, but this strong lady proved us wrong.
After all the tragic events in her life she remained a strong willed lady, always had a ton of love to give but with all the stress of family life she never gave up.
Her main pastime was her television, watched all the soaps constantly and we had to time any visits of telephone calls around Coronation Street or Emmerdale etc, get it wrong and she would let it known she wasn’t happy
She was a very funny lady, her mannerism was extremely humorous, the memories of the things she said and did will always keep us laughing
She refused to get old, always said she was only 21 but didn’t like it when we reminded her she was nearly 80, not too long ago she told her social worker who suggested she attend a community centre that she doesn’t want to sit with old biddies!
A lovely woman, wife, mum, Grandma to Chloe and the bond she made with her carers, hairdresser, cleaner and the neighbours show what a remarkable lady she was
