In loving memory of Vera Joan Hadrill who sadly passed away on 30th December 2016
Mum was born 19/4/1934 in Battersea, London and then moved to Chelsea.
She met Dad when he was playing football at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea 1950.
They were married at Caxton Hall Westminster in 1953.
When she had us 3 children she used to like her odd night out at the bingo.
In the early days Mum was a school dinner lady, she then helped Dad in the greengrocers when the shop finished she went back to the school dinners but studied and made it to Head cook in the kitchen and then became the Catering manager in charge of 6 kitchens in her area.
Mum and Dad started playing bowls together in 1981 at Battersea Park.
Later when they moved to Croydon Dad convinced Mum to join Croydon Bowls club where she went on to be a very accomplished bowler becoming a Surrey County Player.
she loved to travel especially cruising which her and Dad have done on many occasions.
she was a real family person and loved nothing more than having her 8 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren around her.
