Maureen, after thirty years its strange not seeing you rushing about, your chair at the library stands cold and bare now that your not sitting there, but I still see your smiling face when I look towards your space. Missing you my friend very much loving memories. Pauline, Simon and Stacey x

I went to call you today,
but you're not there, you went away
A fiesty soul with spirit and heart
became so tired and had to depart,
A long full life of fun and laughter,
cut short too soon for your forever after,

You were my best friend, all 4ft 11 of you
Quick to bite and always in green or blue
Hair done weekly, make up always on
Always in heels, scarves satin or chiffon
Jewellery on and always in place,
Moisturiser regularly put on your face,

You powered around, always places to go,
Liked doing your thing, and liked to say no,
You were loved by many wherever you went,
everything you spoke, every word you meant,
always forgave but never forgot
didnt like the cold, but didnt like the hot,

Loved sweet treats expecially with cream,
An egyptian holiday was your big dream,
You volunteered, you shopped, you swam
You line danced, you didnt give a damn
You rarely stopped, unless at home,
then you could spend hours, chatting on the phone

You were a treasure, a god send,
A great Mom and Nan, a very good friend
I hope to be like you when I'm older,
Be just as sarcastic but a little bolder
I miss you Nan, I wish you hadnt of gone away
I wish you were here for one more day

So we could talk one last time and say,
the things we thought but time got in the way,
I love you Nan, though we didnt say it lots,
when I think you're gone, my stomach is in knots
We were lucky to have you,
The Nan that we called "New"

Love and miss you always,

Melissa xx
