Vivien was the kindest most thoughtful person you could hope to meet. My memories of her are old, I knew her in the 60's, when we were both very young. She was diligent in her work as a teacher, smiley to the world, beautiful to be with, and gorgeous to behold. She made the world a much better place, and I am grateful that I knew her as close friend for a brief period in time. Rest well, and get them organised in heaven Viv, they will be welcoming you home with open arms.

So sad to hear about Viv's death. We worked together at Waldegrave School in the early 1980's and we sometimes travelled on the bus together or shared a drink in Richmond. I went with her on a school journey French Trip to Brittany which she was leading where we shared a room in a strange French Hotel. Viv was a beautiful, gentle person and I remember her talking fondly about her parents and Yorkshire. I did not see her often after she moved on to another school but sometimes bumped into her in M & S in Richmond - to me she never seemed to age. My sincere condolences to her family

Rebecca Ladbury donated £20 in memory of Vivien

Vivien has been part of our family my whole life, I am not sure how we will get past this Christmas without her. She was kind, interesting and interested in all we did in life and in all the lives of our children, a rare and elegant character and we will miss her massively.

Vivien was a much loved member of our local pub, The Shaftesbury, and a valued part of the the social fabric of the London Welsh rugby community, particularly the Bowls Club.
Her charm, knowledge of life and undoubted beauty will be much missed by her many friends and I am proud to have known her over the last 10 years.
