Mike was a friend who has influenced a large part of my life. We met over 15 years ago and Mike has introduced me to a large number of friends since. He supported me through my Masters and starting my own business. Always ready to listen and offer council.
We often talked about our boys - he was so proud and it breaks my heart that he won't see his grandchildren grow up. I will miss him greatly.

Mike and I shared an office at Southampton Institute/Solent University for about
nine years. Mike was unfailingly kind and thoughtful and often assisted me with IT problems. He was also great at keeping us supplied with hot drinks! Following my retirement, we met up from time to time for a walk and a pub lunch, which were always very pleasant occasions. Mike will be sadly missed by both me and all his friends and colleagues.
