Many thanks to everyone who came to remember Jean with love, respect and affection yesterday. It was not a funeral but a celebration of her life that she would have thoroughly approved of. Many happy memories of Jean and her life were recounted by everyone who came and the floral tributes from both friends and family were beautiful. From her family xxx

  • It was a privilege to help arrange the celebration of Jeans live and final send-off and to be able to share a few minutes with you afterwards.

We had some lovely times with Mammar - even if it was just a trip to Morrisons or a precious day out with family. It's not that long ago that we were all in Skegness together - enjoying the fresh sea air, a game of bingo in the arcades or trying our luck on the 2p slots. We all had a fantastic day but most of all Jean summed it up by saying how much she had enjoyed spending time with her family but boy was she looking forward to a nice cup of tea!
Jean, I will really miss you - catching up on what was happening on Strictly (even when you told me who had been voted off before I'd had a chance to watch it) you always supported David, myself, Ben and Sophie with whatever was happening in our lives.
An inspiring determined lady to the last. Love you lots xxx

To my dearest mother your love and presence will be deeply missed.
A limb has fallen from the family tree
I hear a voice saying, do not grieve for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter...The song....The good life i lived while i was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and then the sun will soon shine through.
My mind is at ease,
my soul is at rest.
remembering you all and how i was truly blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your lives, don't worry about a fall.
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chins,
Until the day when we all are together again.xxx

Your loving daughter Jacqueline & Son In Law Garry
Will miss you dearly everyday

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
