In loving memory of Barry Anslow who sadly passed away on 11th November 2016
Barry passed away peacefully but suddenly in the early hours of the 11th November 2016 at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire. He loved helping people, he would do anything for anyone.
A HGV driver for 48 years travelling the length and breadth of the country delivering anything and everything from Marmite and Bovril to The Chewit Monster! He would readily provide people with directions to places usually with guidance to the best transport cafés on route.
He loved his family and Rose was his life. After retirement he loved his holidays, in Spain and Wisbech. He spent many happy times in at the Marapins Hotel in Malgrat and at Tracy & David’s caravan at Wisbech. He loved his fish and chips on Hunstanton sea front and the carrot cake at The Orchard Tea Rooms near the caravan.
One of Barry’s proudest days was walking his Daughter Tracy down the aisle in Whitby to marry David. A day he probably thought would never happen! He loved his garden and playing with Betsy the families rescue dog. She loved him, and followed him all over the house.
Barry moaned a lot, laughed a lot, but touched the hearts of everyone he met. He had time, and a joke for everyone and usually sweets too! ‘A cheeky chappy’ who will be missed by many people, especially his family and friends.
His smile and laughter will be in our hearts forever.
Barry’s funeral will be on Monday 28th November 2016 at 10.30am, at The Heart of England Crematorium, Eastboro Way, Nuneation, Warwickshire CV11 6WZ.
Barry wanted family flowers only and donations to his two favourite charities – The Air Ambulance and Dogs Trust Kenilworth. There is a link to donate on line and there will also be a box for donations at the Crematorium.
