In loving memory of Paul McCann who sadly passed away on 9th October 2016
Paul was well respected and known on the local football scene. He was the lead football coach for Riverside Rovers Football Club. He completed his FA badges in goalkeeping and outfield and carried his passion through to coaching the under 7’s at Riverside. He also played for numerous football clubs, naming Woodston Dynamos, Top Notch Office, Gedney Hill and Stamford just to name a few.
Paul certainly lived his short life to the full, he was the life and soul of the party and had many friends to reflect this. Paul was a wonderful and devoted Daddy to Paige and Owen and his memory will live on through them incredible little children. He was Best man 5 times to his best friends, John, Gav, Neil, James and also to his twin brother Graham. Paul was also God Father to Chloe, Georgia, Byron, Kai and Aimee.
Paul set himself many targets for 2016, 2 of which were to qualify as a train driver and complete the Great Eastern Run. Half a mile from the home straight of the finish line, Paul collapsed and sadly passed away leaving behind his 2 beautiful young children and an abundance of family and friends completely devastated and heartbroken.
No words can describe the loss, pain and emptiness in our hearts but we are overwhelmed by the 1000’s of beautiful tributes the family have received.
We would like you to join us on the 28th October to celebrate the life of this wonderful man at the Peterborough Crematorium wearing a football top or something colorful.
Now you have gained those angel wings, fly high and sleep tight xx #laughaday xx
