Stephen Pollard (18 Nov 1950 - 4 Oct 2016)

In loving memory of Stephen Pollard who sadly passed away on 4th October 2016. We had been together for 39 years when Steve sadly passed away. We met through a wrong phone no, Steve wanted a builders yard and got me instead. He told me I had a nice voice and chatted me up, it transpired we both had a daughter that we were bringing up. We decided to meet on a blind date and three weeks later moved in together. We bought both children up but sadly my daughter passed away in February this year. Because of his illness he was a house husband and did all the cooking cleaning ect but his passion was his garden which he loved. During the last 4 years of his life he went blind but he didn't let it stop him going out. Which was the same when he had to use a wheelchair for the majority of the time. Due to Steve's illness we knew there was always a risk that he would suffer a stroke or heart attack and when we discussed this Steve asked if I would be prepared to look after him at home. I agreed and Steve came home for the last 7 weeks of his life. In the end he passed peacefully and where her wanted to be
