In loving memory of Stanley Victor Hume Cooper who sadly passed away on 23rd September 2016.
Loving Father to Ann and Gill, Step-Father to Paul and Simon and Grandfather to Nicholas, Kimberley, Louise and Tyler. Great Grandfather to Jack, Chloe, Oliver, Sky, Kourtney and Hunter.
He was born in 1928 to Francis (Frank) and May Cooper in Islington, London. He was evacuated aged 12 at the start of the War to Reading where he stayed for two years before returning to London aged 14 to follow in his father's footsteps by beginning an apprenticeship in the print trade. This was interrupted when he did his National Service in 1947 -49 in the Royal Artillery, Middlesex regiment.
Stan was a quiet and easygoing man with a good sense of humour.
He had a great love of travel and especially train journeys. He and Joy spent holidays in many different counties.
He loved the theatre, classical, military music and all the pageantry and for many years went to the Trouping the Colour and Lord Mayor's show in London amongst other events.
He will be sadly missed but always in our thoughts.
