On 30th September, suddenly at home in Cross Hills. Bill aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Mavis, much loved dad of Jacqueline and Tracey, father in law of Paul, dearest grandad of Abigail, Bethany and Alastair, great grandad of Paige and Cody.

Jane Cantor donated £30 in memory of William

Derek and I met Bill and Mavis about 20 years ago and we have been friends since that time. Bill may have been quiet, but his sense of humour and wry observations often had us laughing. When I needed help, he would just be there doing what was needed, without being asked. When Derek had a serious problem a few years ago, he was hesitant to tell anyone, but we knew we could rely on Bill and Mavis and their loyalty and support gave us great comfort. Bill will be greatly missed but has left many good memories that will live on.

So sorry to hear the sad news of Bill's passing, although we had a few conflicting moments a number of years ago, nothing can take away what a loving, caring man Bill was, I always remembered him as the "quiet one" of the family, but boy he could speak his mind when he had to, Bill you will be sorely missed, more so by your loving wife Mavis along withTracey and my lovely daughter Bethany, keep strong together girls, and of course not forgetting my lovely grandchildren Paige & Cody. (Hey!! Kids look after Mum & Grandma).
Most Sincerely
John (Bethany’s Dad etc,etc) XXX
