Karen was my sister. She was an amazing lady who I loved with all my heart. We fought as sisters to, but I would give anything to argue with you one more time. Sleep well Karen. I will love and miss you always x

Karen was one of the most hilariously funny ladies I had the pleasure to work with at my care home in Aspley. She would always make you smile, even when she was telling you off!! I will of course miss her so so much. All my love Mrs P, Emily xxxx

As some of you may know, my mum suffered from Encephalitis which is a rare but serious condition. It is estimated that there are only 4,000 cases of Encephalitis in the UK each year. Although some will make a full recovery, many will suffer permanent brain damage, personality changes and other complications.

My mum was one of the unfortunate ones and we sadly lost her as a result of complications she suffered for some time. She was a kind woman and would have done anything she could to raise awareness of this condition to help others.

In her memory, our family have set up a donation page to help The Encephalitis Society continue their crucial research. If anyone would like to make a contribution, please follow the above link. Even if just one person reads this, that’s one more person that is aware of this life changing condition.
