Gillian "Gill" Margaret Flemming (3 Apr 1949 - 18 Sep 2016)

I was sad to learn of Gill's passing and send condolences to the family. I have many very happy memories of Gill. We were at Bedford College of PE together and she was a good friend. Her sense of humour was fantastic and we had very many real "belly laughs" together. She did not take herself too seriously, had a real fun loving side, and her sense of adventure was incredible. To go round the world with her little tent and sleeping bag was amazing - something I would never have had the courage to do.
Gill branched off into social work and I came to live in Canada but we kept in touch all those years and did manage to meet up in Devon before she became ill. I admire her courage in the face of challenge and will cherish the memories. Gill was a beautiful caring soul and I am sure she is now surrounded by love, light and peace.
