im sorry that I did not know Mike had passed away as I've been in the Middle Esst for a couple of years. I found out today that he has moved on.
Mike was my boss at Corning and day one in my new job, I felt completely comfortable around him. I have very fond memories of Mike behind his desk,,,, setting daily, new tasks for me.
My overwhelming memory of him was " what a lovely bloke" always complimemtary and a very good listener.
Over the years I have always thought of him with a great deal of fondness. I never heard him curse or raise his voice and I miss him,,, great guy,,, but I will always remember Mike on going,,, as he made a real difference for me.
Kindest regards too the enormous hole he has left,,, lovely man,,, he will be missed.
Regards
Kevin Worrell

In loving memory of Michael Retallick who sadly passed away on 12th September 2016.
Mike was born in Penzance in October of 1937. He went on to marry the love of his life Bernadette Foran in February of 1963. He leaves behind his three sons, Sean, Paul and Bryan and nine grandchildren all of which he was immensely proud.
Sadly, his beloved "Bernie" was stricken with Alzheimer's and was taken into care later in his life. But he remained the doting husband and would spend many hours at her side in the care home.
Some time ago, he wrote these words for me to share with you in the event of his death. I will share them now and also at his funeral.
Before reading it to me, he said "First of all Bryan, I want no sickly eulogy...just read this!"
"I Loved Bernadette. Over 50 years of marriage speaks for it's self. I've had a wonderful family. Three Great Sons and 9 Beautiful and Brilliant grandchildren. I'm Proud and love of all them.
As far as my life went, it's easy to say, but I did enjoy my work and over 50 years took me to over 50 countries. It wasn't always easy but the challenge adds that spark.
It did take me away from my family and when i came home...Out with the mower. Audon Avenue produced 16 bags of grass every trip!"
We would ask that instead of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimers Society. The link can be found at the top right hand of this page.
