Hilda Tomlinson (16 Oct 1927 - 14 Sep 2016)

In loving memory of Hilda Tomlinson who passed on the 14th September

Hilda was born at Taylor’s farm down Water Lane on 16 of October 1927.
She was the youngest of 5 children, she had 1 half brother George, next was Nan, then Jack, then Dot, and finally Hilda.
When she left school she worked at Sherwood boxes.
She had grown up knowing Jack Tomlinson, who she married on December 3rd 1949.
They had 4 children June, John, Jill and Carol.
They used to enjoy going on holiday to Yarmouth, Blackpool & Skegness.
Hilda & Jack enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.
As the children grew older she got a job at filigree cleaning, she was only doing it as a relief cleaner, a favour for a friend, but she loved it that much that she stayed on there. She worked there nearly 30 years, she loved her job, and loved the people that she worked with and in turn they all loved her back. She liked it so much she didn’t finish till she was 75.
When Hilda was around 80 she got dementia.
In July 2012 Hilda and Jack moved up to Normanton Lodge. Unfortunately in November 2012 Jack sadly passed away, Hilda Never really got over the loss of Jack, asking for him every day, even though her children visited her every day.
Unfortunately the dementia got worse, and she passed away peacefully on the 14th of September 2016.

And now Jack and Hilda, the love of each others whole lives, now rest peacefully together. Forever.
