Paul Andrew Moore (28 Oct 1961 - 5 Aug 2016)

I met Paul when I just knew him as DJ Pablo. I didn't hear him referred to as Paul until a few months after we first met, which was through Paul Kilbride of Overall fame in Nottingham. I was in my final year at Uni and was determined it would be a great year. Musically and just generally, I started showing up at Paul's DJ sets, mostly at the Skyy Club, and had to talk to him between headphone checks and tweaking and cuing up of vinyl!! We must have met five or six times this way and then I ended up emigrating, but I always sent Pablo letters, including a Canada-based fanzine from the '90s time until 1999. I called Paul on January 1999 and we had a great chat over the phone. He was sweet as always and very kind. That was the last time we spoke and I have memories of you being a stand-up DJ and awesome bloke. Pablo you are sadly missed. Keep on Spinning wherever you are.
