My earliest memory of Ray was as a gangly young boy. I used to visit my Uncle Charlie (boy) every Sunday morning from about the age of 5 upwards. Charlie was also Ray's uncle on his wife , Mary 's side. I am not sure we ever spoke to each other , he would have had more in common with my elder brothers. I had not seen or spoken to him in years , then about 10 years ago , I got a message via FB asking if I was a relative of Boy . It was from Ray, I said I was and from then on I was part of his extended family. He told me stories of my dad and my great uncle Henry and of Boy. He was so full of memories , which he freely shared with me, he also sent me photo's of our family. I had never seen before. He very kindly asked his grandaughter Sarah to invite me and my daughter to her wedding , and later to her daughter Ava's birthday parties. We had some very happy times in Ray's company, my daughter and I . He was a very kind person, his family are all following in his footsteps , they always make me feel special when we meet and they, like him ,are friendly and outgoing. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, he will NOT be forgotten .Rest in peace Ray. Xx
