Carlie Nicole Hewitt (18 Jan 1989 - 27 Aug 2016)
In loving memory of Carlie who sadly passed away on 27th August 2016.
Carlie was born at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus but returned, via a short time in Germany, to live in Gosberton Clough near Spalding before her first birthday. She went to the village school in Gosberton Risegate and then on to the Thomas Cowley High School in Donington.
Carlie left school at 16 and went to work in London as a trainee hairdresser/colourist. She worked in various salons near Knightsbridge and made many friends there enjoying a whirlwind social life. Throughout this time she was living with her step father and his family in Ugley near Bishops' Stortford and then later in Forest Gate in East London with her mother and step father.
In 2012 Carlie returned to Lincolnshire to work with her father and family in their pub in Swineshead. She enjoyed the closeness this brought to her and her half siblings, Ross and Kirsty.
2013 was not a great year for Carlie and following a number of setbacks she suffered from depression. Whilst battling her illness Carlie did a variety of jobs in Lincolnshire from admin worker to carer.
Carlie returned to hairdressing in London in 2014-15 and had many happy times with her friends and colleagues.
Sadly towards the end of 2015 Carlie's mental health issues resurfaced. She returned to Linconshire where she eventually succumbed to her illness and took her own life.
We hope that you will be able to join us at South Lincolnshire Crematorium, Surfleet at 2pm on 16 September 2016 to remember the wonderful caring person that was Carlie. Afterwards there will be afternoon tea at the nearby Spalding Farm Shop (a favourite of Carlie's).
Ever the girly girl Carlie requested that everyone wears something pink to her funeral.
