In loving memory of Joan Daphne Langston who sadly passed away on 16th August 2016
Mum was Born in Aylesbury on 19th January 1936 to Charlie and Lizzy Biswell, the eldest of 2 girls having a younger sister Jackie
She went on to go to Aylesbury Grammer School where she told me of a few stories on the tricks played on the teachers!!!!
Left school and worked for Hazels in Aylesbury which she really enjoyed.
She met dad when she was 13 years old and they married on 14th July 1956(it would have been 60 years this year if Dad had still been with us, he sadly passed away on the 12th February 2013),They then went on to have me on 17th March 1958, my sister Susan on 6th September 1963 then Finally my Brother Stephen on 26th November 1966 which Both Mum and Dad said if he had been the first he would have been the last as he screamed for the first 2 years of his life.
Sadly we lost our sister on 15th May 2008 at the age of 44, but Mum being Mum would hold all her emotions in as not to upset any of us any more than we should be, but I know deep down she never got over that day.
Mum had the experience of living in different places from Aylesbury they moved to Bletchley where mum took up part time work for a security firm, then on to Leighton Buzzard, Stony Stratford, Kidderminster, Eastrea, Coates and Finally whittlesey.
Mum had a huge life change when she got Macula Degeneration it affected the left eye first then she had to give up driving and a few years later her right eye was no longer any help to her....she loved doing crossword puzzles and reading books and the garden which sadly had to stop due to the eyesight.
Mum was a very private person and her family was her life, even if she did put up with a lot from her three children, and then go on to see Grandchildren Zoe, Christopher, Shane, Kelly and Ryan also Great Grandchildren Shannon, Jasmin, Mia, Riley, Jack, and Bella.
I am really proud to say she was my Mum.
