In loving memory of Garry Robin Hutchings who sadly passed away at 12:07 on 3rd August 2016.

Garry’s funeral will be held on his birthday, Thursday the 18th of August at Poole Crematorium (Broadstone) at 13:00, with a wake to be held at Corfe Mullen Legion afterwards.

Garry wanted a celebration of his life and requested that everyone wear bright or colourful clothes, Hawaiian shirts if he had his way and what better way to celebrate his life than on his birthday.

We appreciate how much of a popular man Garry was and everyone is welcome, if you have not already done so via Facebook or other means please let Scott know on 07878678977 if you are attending so we can keep track of numbers.

It is now possible to visit Garry at the chapel of rest in Wimborne, please call Nicholas O'Hara on 01202 882134 to arrange visits between 9-5.
We have arranged for a late opening until 20:00 this Friday for those who can't make it during the day but please still call to book.

Donations in memory of Garry as per his wishes, are to contribute towards the care and future requirements of his Niece Freya who is also battling Leukaemia.

Cheques should be made payable to Freya Barry and posted to Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors Ltd, Somerleigh Court Funeral Home, 38, Rowlands Hill, Wimborne BH21 0BJ. (Please do not send cash)

There will also be a collection box at the Crematorium and again at Corfe Mullen Legion, where donation can be made in person either by cheque or cash.

Today should have been Garry Hutchings 51st birthday but sadly he will be laid to rest after a hard fought battle against leukemia over the last 2 and half years. I will be thinking of you today and although I'm half a world away I will be with all our family and friends in remembering the most generous, kind and fun brother, husband, father and friend that you were.

This is for you Garry:

My Best Friend, My Brother – Garry Hutchings –Mr Blue Sky

Today I heard a Lark
I looked into the sky
I could see it soaring high
Singing, chirping and happy, as it soared in to
the sky.

It reminded me of yesterdays
Of days out at the beach
Of days in the New Forest
Of picnics at Badbury Rings
Of days at Lockyers School
Of fossil hunting along The Jurassic Coast.
Of brothers, friends and family on so many adventures,
Through forests, fields and streams,
Through The Copse and along the Stour.

Today I heard a Lark
I looked into the sky
I could see it soaring high
Singing, chirping and happy, as it soared in to
the sky.

I said good morning brother,
Good morning Garry,
I said take care until we meet again,
I hope you’re settling in.
I asked our nan’s and grandad’s and those who’ve passed before,
To take you in their arms and guide you throughthe door.

Today I heard a Lark
I looked into the sky
I could see it soaring high
Singing, chirping and happy, as it soared in to
the sky.

We share a love of music
We both love ELO,
I play their songs aloud and feel your warming glow.
A favourite hit, it brings a smile as I listen to thewords;

“Sun is shinin' in the sky
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin'
Everybody's in a play
And don't you know
It's a beautiful new day.

Hey there Mr. Blue
We're so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do
Everybody smiles at you.

Mr. Blue you did it right,
But soon comes Mr. Night,
Creepin' over, now his Hand is on your shoulder,Never mind I'll remember you this way”.

Today I heard a Lark
I looked into the sky I could see it soaring high
Singing, chirping and happy, as it soared in to
the sky.
My best friend, my brother Garry,
It’s time to soar, to soar high in to the sky,
‘til we meet again,
Mr Blue Sky!

I will always remember and love you dearly brother xxx
