Heather and I have been friends since we were both 18 and when we were introduced to her parents they were really lovely people. Over the years we have swopped stories of our mums and we felt as though we were still a part of her life. She never forgot to send her love every Christmas and I shall miss sending her a card. A really special lady who will be much missed.

My friend Mary and I met Heather and Clive on a trip to see the Passion play in Oberammergau in 2000 and we have remained in contact ever since. Naturally, we were both very sorry to hear the sad news about the recent death of her beautiful and beloved mother Francesca. We would very much like to convey our heartfelt condolences to Heather and all her extended family. It is never easy to come to terms with the death of a relative and knowing how close Heather was to her mum, losing the regular contact either through visits or telephone chats will be hard to deal with, but your mum will always remain with you in your heart and memory.

  • I wish to make a correction to my message above, the trip took place in 2010 not in 2000. Apologies for this error. Sigrid

  • Diane and I have known each other since we were around 14 years of age so knew each other's parents well. Mum was really happy when Diane and Doug dropped in to see on her 90th birthday and had this photo taken by my sister Bernie. Heather
