In loving memory of Raymond Woodley who sadly passed away on Thursday 14th July 2016 aged 95.
Much loved husband to Vera and devoted Father to Joyce and Gillian.
Grandfather to David, Elizabeth, Catherine and Philip, and Great-Grandfather to Joshua, William, Owen and Ellis.
Ray worked throughout his life for Pirelli until his retirement in 1986.
During this time he played water polo, was a keen Mirror dinghy sailor and member of Western Sailing Club and an avid DIY enthusiast with a passion for buying the latest DIY equipment.
Ray played trumpet for various dance bands throughout the forties and fifties and met Vera whilst playing at the NAAFI Club.
In his later years he continued to take great enjoyment from his daily trips out in his car visiting family and Haskins Garden Centre for his daily cup of coffee and apple pie.
Becoming a silver surfer he got to grips with the computer age and modern technology by developing skills in digital photography.
Following a fall at home Ray spent the last 18 months of his life at The Maypole Nursing Centre regularly visited by family.
Loved by so many he will be missed by all who knew him.
