In loving memory of Frederick George Catlin (Freddie).
In loving memory of our Da who sadly fell asleep at home at Oakridge House in the arms of Julie , his princess, on 12th July 2016 at the grand age of 88.
Hugely missed by his devoted daughter and reunited with his dear son Paul and his darling wife Joan. Proud and loving Da to his grandsons Wills & Charlie , Grandboy to Amy & Sam and Great Grandpa to Ava.
Julie moved Freddie to Basingstoke so that she could keep an eye on him in 2009 and he lived very happily amongst good friends at Geffreys Fields , Basingstoke.
For the past 16 months Freddie has been lovingly cared for by the wonderful angels who are known as Carers at Oakridge House. They have treated him like family; as if he was their own father or grandfather . The love, care and support they have given Da and us has been tremendous. Their job is one of the hardest in the world, yet the love and care they have shown has been endless . We could not have managed without them.
Life won't be the same without our Da in it but in his words, he enjoyed a fantastic life ..... and thankfully he had the most perfect, peaceful ending .
