Steve was simply a great guy, a unique character who left a lasting impression on all those he came into contact with. We will forever remember him as Mr Golf, such was his passion for anything golf-related. A true gentleman on and off the course, he took equal pleasure in attempting to improve other people's game as he did in constantly striving to become a better player himself.It was great to have him on the committee where his knowledge and enthusiasm shone through.
No doubt Steve will be looking down on us, in between offering words of advice to Ben Hogan and his great hero, Seve.
RIP Steve, we will never forget you.
