In loving memory of Derek William Mackenzie who sadly passed away on 27th June 2016. A wonderful husband, Dad and Grandad.
It was Derek's wish for his funeral to have family flowers only and he nominated Cancer Research and Macmillan Nurses as his two chosen charities for anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory.

Remembering all the love and laughter. What a great neighbour and friend. Remembering the year he helped build a toboggan, then filmed us at Plumberow Mount in the snow. Everyone was zooming down the hill - except us! There wasn't much commentary - only Derek laughing and laughing. And when he related the time he accidentally put washing up liquid in the Christmas Turkey. Nice lemony flavour apparently! We have numerous wonderful memories and are privileged to have had the chance to share a part of Derek's life. We will miss him very much. Love to Jean, Mandy, Joanne and all the family x

Derek was a great character to work with, he always had a funny story to tell.

Everyone at DSW were sad to hear of his passing, one and all send their condolences to his family.

We will miss Derek very much, he always managed to lift our spirits during some difficult times, the beautiful rose bush he and the rest of the Art Group gave us is still blooming outside our front door, which makes us think of him every day.
