The lovely Meryl at our NHS Trust AGM in 2012. I will miss you . I remember meeting you for the first time with Chris and I was struck by your character and determination to do the right thing to support Chris through his dementia journey. With love Jane

On behalf of the Alzheimer's Society, I would like to express my sincerest condolences to Meryl's family at this difficult time.
Meryl was engaging, vibrant and caring.
Her strength of character gave her resilience in times of strain.
She asked me to call her 'Merle, like a pearl'. And she was.
I will remember her fondly.
