In loving memory of Betty Rubio who sadly passed away on 16th June 2016.

Betty, a loving wife to Rudi Rubio, 'the best mum' to seven children: Ronnie, Ronelda, Rondolf, Raquel, Reggie, Rhoda and Rhowena; and the 'queen' grandma to 16 grandchildren: Nathan, Jezzell, Remel, Kieran, Kimberley, Brandon, Sarah, Leah, Chelsea, Javarn, Keijean, Ashley, MJ, Jarrel, Reanne and RJ. Betty & Rudi were also blessed with their first great grandchild: Malanie.

Betty passed away following a courageous 11 month battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. AML is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow.

All your kind Gift Aid donations will go to the ACLT. an independent charity based in the UK which strives to increase the number of ethnic minorities on the UK stem cell (bone marrow), blood and organ donor registers.

The good Lord called Betty home on the 16 June. She was loved by all who knew her and for that reason, we invite you all to attend her two-day overnight vigil, which will start from 2pm on Monday, 27 June right through to 8am Wednesday, 29 June (day of burial) at Memorial Community Church. 395 Barking Road, London E13 8AL.

Her Home-Going service will be held at 10am at JMM, Pilgrims Way Church. She will be laid to rest at the East London Cemetery. The family's request is for the burial to be attended by family only. All are welcome to join us at Betty's Life celebration reception from 1pm - 9pm - venue details on this page.

Your mother was a strong woman and a unique person in her own way, she had talent that inspired you all her children to being who you all are today. Your mother expects you all to be strong and carry on with life happy, confident and encouraged and to support one another and to love life and have her always in your hearts ? and remember all good memories of her as your mother. She loves you all dearly and now Resting in Peace and now joining my mother in heaven reuniting together once again dancing to cha cha, laughing how they used to back in the days as friends?. Her spirit will always be with you all watching upon you all like a angel. RIP AUNTIE BETTY ?

Mama, you fought the good fight of faith. I thank God for the joy of the Lord was your strength.. Right up until the very end you had the strength to raise you arms and hands and praise HIM. Life on this earth will not be the same without you.. I can't wait until that one sweet day when I can rub noses with you again, squeeze you so tight and 'try' do the chachacha with you. You are the Queen of our heart ma. Gone but never forgotten. I love you always and forever. May God give the doctors the wisdom to find a cure for this horrible disease.
