Adam, I will always remember with great fondness our first term at Mrs B's. I don't think you knew what had hit you sharing a twin room with me. None the less you survived and the next term we moved, together with Dante and Rob, to Abbeyfield Road. From there we have been friends for life. I never admitted you were the better dancer - although I had you at pool!
I will miss you Ad

Firstly, I'd like to thank Richard, Tony, Philip and Simon for giving me the privilege and honour for the few words that I said at the funeral service. What a great send off at the reception too. Here are the 'few words' read out but this time directed personally to my best friend, Adam.

I first met you, 35 years ago at College and we've remained the best of friends ever since.
There are so many memories and times we spent together that I will treasure forever, the vast majority great, some sad but NONE of them bad.

You enjoyed your music, were a great dancer, good cook………well, barbequing (the pork and loaded potato skins were the best on the planet) and you loved watching films where you would do that sucking of your thumb thing, which was kind of weird, but sweet…..That was you Ad, you were so Sweet.

You would always be the first at the bar getting the round in for me and our friends, more often than not the last one too……That was you Ad, you were extremely Generous.

You've left behind 4 brothers, including Simon your close twin, their extended families and lots and lots of friends, but I myself considered you more as a brother and I’d like to think you did of me, too.

You were most recently a troubled and lost soul and although you've gone way too soon, I think we all need to take heart and comfort that you are now resting in peace with your dearly beloved, but sadly also recently departed mother, Brenda, whom will now be looking after you once again - as you will her.

Rob called it appropriately, you are a LEGEND and you will live on forever.

Love you Ad…… will miss you mate.
Dante X

This is one of the saddest goodbyes, to someone I have had, in all the years I have been away from England.
It hits close to home, when we grew up together and, can understand the pain one has felt in life and it ends this way,
still so young.
I remember your face, all the times we hung out, lay together on a sofa at your grandmothers house watching movies.
Our first kiss and the fun with your twin Simon.
Of course, I wish I could have stayed closer to you, shared your downs and been there.....
Will carry you though forever in my heart!
Goodbye Adam, you are in a good place, I know.
