Dear God, you have the son you lent me and he is in a far better place. But on this day, my birthday, I want to thank you for a son who was kind and funny and hugely intelligent. Thankyou for giving him to me when when I was 34 and for allowing m e to have him for 34 years also. It was a privildge to have him as a son. Please have mercy on us all. Your child.

What joy you must be feeling son. Away from the tribulations of this sad world, and at peace in the everlasting arms. O how we miss you! O how we want you back! Yet we would not have you back really. One day we will meet again.

Some days it's harder than ever, dear one, but on other days, I can just about see some light. And you rest in that light darling. Than you dear Father for giving us such a wonderful son.

Dear, darling boy, now resting in peace with the ever- loving God. We, however, are left to mourn his bodily presence and the sound of his dear voice. It's as if a sword has pierced our hearts. This must be something of how the Blessed Mary felt when she beheld her son's lifeless body on the Cross. Lord give us the strength to bear the unbearable, as she was given the strength. You have promised that your Grace is sufficient.

James thank you for your vision of Jimmy Piggs. It provided me with solace, warmth & community in what has been a sad world for me. I won't forget your last words you said to me "for Ruth and Ruth's friend ". There is no place like yours in Doncaster. As Grays on said today you & your family are pastors at Jimmy Piggs. A unique person & family xxxxx

James was always there to help with kind words and encouragement nouthing was a problem to him, I'll always be grateful for the help and words of wisdom he gave me with my business. Our times together at 'The Fruit Tree' and church were always great fun. Such a sad loss my heart goes out to you all Lydia & family. James will live on in all of our wonderful memories.

There are many great things I could write about James, many that are etched on my heart and will stay there as a lasting memory to a very special person. I will remember James for his heart for people, his great friendship, his amazing humour, his amazing qualities as a husband and father, but most of all I will remember James for his ability to make you feel positive about yourself, just by his presence and his words. It maybe a question that gets you thinking, or a sentence that builds you up. I always came away from James feeling uplifted and positive and ready to take on the world.

Thanks James for being you, will always miss that smile and that laughter, you were a true friend

James you were truly a legend to every generation. An amiable and warm hearted person who everyone warmed to. You were a safe and encouraging friend who was a familiar face to me when I ventured into the world of business networking.

Somehow just in your simple greeting you had a gift for making one feel genuinely celebrated.

Your family are special and a credit to you. We will stand with them and love them through this trial. We will miss you James, until we meet again and consider together what God has done through this.

Dear James, still can't believe you are gone... We didn't know each other long, but I want to thankyou ( and Lydia) for making myself and my husband so welcome in your home at life group meetings..
From the moment we met you, I have to say we found you utterly hilarious, and such great company, always with a smile, a welcoming heart and a loyal and loving husband and father..
Heartbroken for your family...
Rip, meet you again one day ... ?
