Michael John Nickels (22 Nov 1945 - 20 May 2016)

In loving memory of Michael John Nickels who sadly passed away with his beloved family by his side on 20th May 2016.
Michael was a great man, most knew him as a happy guy that used to love to stop and have a chat, he loved his family, dogs and all things outdoors, his love for the Cairngorms in Scotland was well known and will be his final resting place. Michael spent numerous hours on the rivers of Glenshee looking for a great battle with a Salmon passing by, he loved the scenery and the peace of the Scottish highlands, especially when he had his family around him.
He also loved the place he worked, a small family run Garden Nursery, this was a place that he again would spend numerous hours normally with one of his loyal companions by his side (his dogs, not Tony, even though Tony was his other loyal companion)
He married Shirley Eames and started a family, his son Martin and daughter Sarah-Jane of who he was very proud of, one of the proudest moments of Michael's life was walking his Daughter Sarah-Jane down the aisle at Thorney Abbey to marry his Son in law Peter, this is why we feel Thorney Abbey is the perfect place to give Michael his final farewell.
With Michael's passing there will certainly be a huge hole, that will never be filled, but his memory will continue forever.
