Susan Smart (27 Dec 1947 - 21 May 2016)

In memory of Susan Smart who sadly passed away on 21st May 2016, Loving wife of Bob, mother to Vicky and Nathalie and Nanny to Joshua, Mollie, Jago and Chloe.

Susan was born and brought up in London with her sister Glynis. She attended Borough Polytechnic to train as a cake decorator where she met her best friend Julie, who she has kept in touch with all her life. Whilst she was on holiday with Julie in America in 1970, she met Bob when boarding the QE2 to return to the U.K. They married 15 months later on the 1st January 1972. Following the birth of two daughters, they settled in Lincoln and now have four grandchildren.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, caravanning around the UK especially Cornwall and also spending time in France.

Susan's family will not be wearing black at the funeral, but please wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Family flowers only. Donations to the St Barnabas Hospice can be made on this page or at the service. St Barnabas Hospice at Home service provided a great deal of support and care to both Susan and Bob at this difficult time.

Susan's family invite you all to join them following the service at Lincoln Indoor Bowls Club, Hall Drive, Lincoln where Susan worked before her retirement.
