Katie Taylor donated £100 in memory of Brian

I will miss Brian for his constant and unfailing support, his enthusiasm for his profession, his knowledge, his post as my personal IT guru, his wonderful sense of humour and fun & his gentle teasing. I will remember fondly the post conference shopping in Chicago, his dismay when someone mistook me as his wife (the horror!) and the chats over meals. He has left a huge hole which cannot be filled and I will miss him for a very long time.

  • I now know after speaking with you how much Brian meant to you and how much he thought of you. He will be very much missed by all his family, friends and colleagues. In your case you were all three, as his sarrogate mum I know his departure will take a long time to heal. Brian would want you to remember the good times and remember that wonderful smile of his and his dry sense of humour. Your donation is much appreciated and will go towards helping others when they need it the most. Thank you so much. It was lovely meeting you yesterday. X

We received the news of Brian's passing with much sadness. He was a man with presence, who made an indelible impression on all those who crossed his path--regardless of how long ago one had known him. For some of us at Agilisys, this dates back to 2006, and others, just last year...

Brian was a man of exacting standards. He had an abundance of knowledge and experiences which he shared generously, along with his time and team spirit. One abiding memory goes back to early November 2013 where we had back-to-back software upgrades. The second one was hard on the heels of a less than pristine first one--with no chance for anyone to draw breath in between. During those trying days, Brian rolled up his shirt sleeves, and leaned in alongside the Agilisys Team to help us field the onslaught of support calls from end-users. He worked well beyond the boundaries of a typical working day, and was back in early the next morning with us to take on the next one. It was during the first of those 10pm suppers that Brian's dry (and often mischievous) sense of humour made for a welcome surprise.

We thank him for this guidance and support throughout. He will be missed. Agilisys has made donations in memory of Brian.

When the going got tough, having Brian lean in alongside with you made a significant difference. November 2013 comes to mind when we had back-to-back application upgrades. When the second one came hard on the heels of a less than pristine first one, Brian rolled up his shirtsleeves and took on end-user phone calls alongside our team--often working well beyond the close of a normal business day, and then being up early to take on the next one. It was during those hard days when
Brian's dry (and at times mischievous) sense of humour came as a welcome surprise.

Thank you for your support and guidance. You will be remembered....

Rebecca King donated £30 in memory of Brian

Brian was the first manager at BMI to give me a job back in 1989 at Chelsfield Park when I worked for Jennie Reeves. We used to chat about bikes for ages before he would actually go home ! I still can't quite believe he has gone but he will surely never be forgotten.
Sending our condolences from all the Radiographers and Radiologists (who he helped set up their remote access ) at BMI Blackheath Hospital.
