In loving memory of the late Geraldine Valerie Pia Robb (Valerie Walker) who sadly passed away on 20th May 2014 leaving a husband (Ian) and two children (Scott (11) & Jack (8)).

-

Valerie's funeral wishes were that nobody should wear black, I quote:

"I want people to celebrate my life, not mourn my death"

She wanted people to be happy not sad .... (Easier said than done.)

-

Geraldine's family are happy to receive either 'Flowers' or 'Donations' and would like to leave the decision to each individual or group.

-

A wake will be held following the funeral at "The Moby Dick", 6 Russell Place, Greenland Dock, London, SE16 1PL ... All funeral guests are welcome ...

-

Attire for the Funeral ..... Please wear Smart/Casual clothing with as little black as possible (Considering the weather report 'hawaiian shirts' acceptable) ...

-

Free Parking is available at the Crematorium (along the driveway).

Well I see what you meant now about only your work colleagues knowing you as Geraldine, Val...
A truly beautiful person inside and out. You really were a fantastic work neighbour who would happily lend and ear or two when things got stressful personally and professionally.
You were a witty, elegant lady who always knew how to cheer me up. Thank you for making my (10 or so years) at LCHC memorable and special.
Miss you
Rest In Peace my dear Birthday pal.

To the lovely Val, I will miss you dearly. God Bless, Gary xx

“...we should be remembered for the things we do. The things we do are the most important things of all. They are more important than what we say or what we look like. The things we do outlast our mortality. The things we do are like monuments that people build to honour heroes after they've died. They're like the pyramids that the Egyptians built to honour the Pharaohs. Only instead of being made out of stone, they're made out of the memories people have of you. That's why your deeds are like your monuments. Built with memories instead of with stone.”
