Mark I am so grateful that we bumped into each other shortly before you passed. It was only a short conversation and you smiled at me with your usual cheeky charm and we spoke a few words to each other, how I will treasure that last look and lovely cheeky smile forever. Mark I loved you, you were a wonderful colleague and friend and I miss you every single day. God bless and I count myself extremely lucky to have known and worked with you. Sleep tight angel. Mr H...first as my student then as a brother in arms we had a few scrapes over the years both on and off the wards. Many of which we have looked back and laughed at with rose tinted glasses in recent months.
I really regret that we have not had a regular cheeky beer after work in recent years like we used to, which seemed to put the world to rights for us both.
Rest easy brother and make sure you keep everyone awake up there with your incredibly annoying snoring ;-)

Mark I'll always remember your fab dry sense of humour. You were a lovely person to know throughout the Cardiff Uni days and we all enjoyed your company. R.I.P. Lots of love, Julie xxx

The world is such a sadder place without you in it. The profession is much poorer now you are no longer a practitioner of it. Making sense of karma is that much harder. If only you had known the effect you had on our days, not by the big things but the little, your smile, your cheek, your calm reassuring air and your utter non flap ability while all around you had the potential to devolve into chaos. If I am half as loved, half as respected and half as courageous as you, I will count myself blessed. We will both miss you and feel that little less reassured in those situations where you excelled, with the scared and the traumatised, the confused and the angry, the desperately unwell and the staff you encouraged at the times they felt they couldn't keep going. You are, and will always remain the very ideal of what a nurse should be.
Our deepest sympathy and respect to those who so obviously loved you and spoke so well today.xx
