In loving memory of Ann Murphy who passed away on 22nd April 2016 aged 72.
More than 'just' a mother (of 6), grandmother (11) and great-grandmother (5), Ann spent many years working in Bexley London Borough as a Home Care Assistant looking after elderly and/or disabled people, a job she enjoyed and through which she made some good friends. She loved holidaying in Australia with family there, and Thailand and Rhodes and Spain and Austria, having enjoyed living in Singapore and Cyprus - both revisited - courtesy of the RAF, her husband Stan's employer during the first dozen or so years of their marriage. After retirement she and Stan moved from Kent to Cambridgeshire, latterly moving to Hartford in Huntingdon where they spent a very happy couple of years, with family close by.
Ann became ill in mid to late 2015 and was found to have Lymphoma, a form of cancer. A heart attack preventing the continuation of chemotherapy, she accepted her fate philosophically. She was very well looked after by the Macmillan Nurses and the doctors working at the Woodside Centre at Hinchinbrooke hospital, which allowed her to stay at home until the end in the care of Stan and their daughter Helen.
