A poem for My Dear Nanny rose

Today I will remember you
I have to say goodbye,
Celebrate the life you've had
And maybe have a cry.

Those special memories of you
Will always bring a smile,
If only I could have you back,
Just for a little while.

You'll never be forgotten Nan
I close my eyes and see,
Your smiling face and feel your love
And you'll be close to me.

Love you always and forever

My funniest memory is of Aunt Rose and Aunt Nell coming to stay with me and Dave. It was over 25 years ago, and it was for a family wedding the next day. I told Dave that they would probably have an early night, maybe a cup of Horlicks before bedtime, but boy was I wrong. Instead, we were sat in our garden, until well after midnight, drinking Vodka (a whole bottle) and listening to stories about their holidays together. My jaw ached from laughing. Such special memories of two lovely aunties.

To a very special lady. Rose you were our very own Queen mum. Loved by all that knew you. You were caring, proud of your family and you still had some love to show us too. You treated mum (Gina) like your own daughter and we will never forget that.

You have been part of my life since I was a little girl. Also my sister Maria and brother Nick and not forgetting dad. We are all sad that you have passed. My mum, Gina, who styled your hair for many years loved you dearly and you loved her too. We were family to each other and we will never forget you.

I will always remember your sense of humour and nothing really shocked you. You always had this ability to see the funny side.

Rose, may the angels embrace you with love on your next journey. You will finally be with your husband and loved ones. God Bless x

A lovely lady and have some fond memories from the new years eve/birthday parties up in Tomson house. I always remember the magic words that was chanted for the new year and it wasn't 'Happy New Year'
So sorry that I cannot attend the funeral as I am in Spain at this time but I will have a tipple at 3:15
RIP Rosie God Bless

Feel no guilt in laughter
She knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile
That she's not here to share
You cannot grieve forever
She would not want you to
She'd hope that you would carry on
The way you always do
So talk about the good times
And the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together
All the happiness you shared
Let memories surround you
A word someone might say
Will suddenly recapture
A time,an hour, a day
That brings her back as clearly
As though she was still here
And fills you with the feelings
That say she's always near
For if you keep those moments
You will never be apart
And they will live forever
Safely locked within your HEART ?
